The new DAVIE VILLAGE community garden on Davie Steet "COOL"

It came as a real surprise to us that the city would reserve a probably most valauble city corner for growing veggies etc. GREAT BRAVO VANCOUVER..I chatted to a few people and everyone is thrilled. We love wondering around these veggie and flower patches as one can learn so much and make new friends. Gardeners seem to be more approachable than your average city dweller. Enjoy the visit I will post a copy/link of this in my Park and Garden section as it is a Designed and organized land.
What is also so cute are all these tiny little treasures that the tenant of the plots lay out to give it a hint of difference be it mirrors, driftwood, rocks and simply obejects that fit the need instead of going to the trash. Congratulation to those who have the tightest salad beds I have ever seen. I just wanted to put some dressing lie down like my cat and start nibbling. Simply glorious ...one more reason to come to Davie street and see some Nature! Who would have thought so. Everytime I looked at that corner next to the hospital I thought there comes a new high rise condo development or a Hospital extension.. Maybe they should put a few resting benches so stressed people from the Hospital could come and rest for a few minutes..
