French Louis XVI sixteen 1788 silver medal

Due to the private ownership of this medal I can not reveal where I took these photos. But It's my pleasure to share this visual treasure with you. It is an original silver medal depicting Louis XVI Sixteen from 1788. It was custom mounted in the an utmost elegant way with the "Fleur De Lys" pattern retaining the medal from dangling and rolling while set to one or the other side. I love the simple way it is held by the simple red string that maybe recalls the color of blood of the king and his wife Marie Antoinette who lost their lives under the terrible "Guillotine" in Paris France. I have been told there are only about an average of one hundred of these in the world and they were given during the reign of the king to the Aristocrats of France the current owner ancestors were one of them. I love when these items make it that far. I will upload some other medals most probably of much lesser grand origins and most probably much less valuable also when they cross my path.
